Who we are

MakerLabelKit is operated by a sole proprietor based in the Netherlands (the "controller" under the GDPR). Contact us by email for any privacy question or request. Contact: hello@makerlabelkit.com.

Your product data stays in your browser

The label tool runs in your browser. The data that you type (product names, hazard data, your business name, address and telephone number) and the PDF files stay on your device. If you click "Save", your browser stores the product in its local storage on your device. We do not receive this data. You can delete it with the "Delete" button or by clearing the site data in your browser.

What we collect

Anonymous usage events, for example "a label was made" or "a button was clicked". Each event has the event name, the page variant, the country (from the connection, not from your IP address) and the source of the visit (for example the name of an ad campaign). No name, no email address, no product data and no identifier of you or your device. Purpose: to know which parts of the tool people use. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Page views, through Cloudflare Web Analytics. This service does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.
Emails that you send us. We use them only to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest. We delete them 12 months after the last message.
License keys, if you activate Pro. Your browser sends the key to our server, which asks our payment provider whether the key is valid. We do not store the key on our server.

We do not sell data. We do not use advertising cookies.

Processors

Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, database for anonymous events, analytics, email routing.
When Pro is on sale: Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company), the merchant of record. It processes your order and payment under its own privacy policy.

These processors can process data outside the EU. They use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your data, and you can object to processing. Send an email to us. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the authority in your country.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. The tool uses your browser's local storage only for functions that you ask for: saved products, a note that you made a label before (so that we count first use one time), and your Pro license.
